Coronary Angiography

One of the methods to check the functioning of the blood flow in the heart, Coronary Angiography, requires a contrast material (or special dye). It also requires an X-Ray to check the imaging of the heart.

Our cardiologists deal with Coronary Angiography with the help of advanced medical gadgets. This procedure is often done in addition to cardiac catheterization. In Coronary Angioplasty, our nurses relax the patient muscles with sedation. Then, through incision point, our cardiologists pass a catheter tube that moves up to the heart. All this takes place under the X-ray imaging that helps our cardiologists to place the catheter rightfully.

Once the catheter gets placed, our cardiologists inject the dye to track down its movement. Its passage takes place through the artery. This procedure usually gets completed within an hour.
